Where can I find and buy your art and books?
You can shop directly through this website, at some local bookstores and on Amazon, and on the homepage when I attend art fairs or book events. I also share updates on new releases and event locations through my monthly newsletter and social media.
Do you sell original art, prints, or both?
I offer some original paintings on https://hannahmarieartwork.etsy.com as well as high-quality art prints. You can also request a piece that you’ve seen me present or request a custom art on my Contact Me page. This way, you can receive a one-of-a-kind piece directly from my studio (usually between $500-1500, depending on size) or choose select digital options to enjoy at home on my Etsy site.
How does your custom art work?
If you’d like a custom piece, I’ll start with a conversation about your vision—size, colors, style, and subject. Once we agree on details, I’ll sketch ideas, and send the invoice with deposit for confirmation. As the project gets underway, I’ll keep you updated on progress, and deliver a final piece that feels personal and meaningful. Usually a custom artwork may take between one to three weeks.
Do you take book illustration or art commissions?
Absolutely! I love collaborating with fellow writers, businesses, and individuals to bring your personal ideas to life—whether that’s book illustrations, portraits, or unique artwork based on your memories.
How do you come up with your books?
My brain is constantly overwhelmed with ideas and I draft a new book idea at least three times a year. First I sketch out ideas, begin research and create a very basic outline. Once I build the characters and world, I type out the first draft in a couple months. I’ll go back and research as needed. Eventually I’ll combine my ideas with art that matches the heart of the story. You can find examples of this from my book Reserved and my graphic novel Voices.
How long does it take to create a book?
It depends on the project! My children’s books take between one to three months each from sketch to sell. The majority of my projects are started in a few months, but I bounce around from idea to idea, so book projects usually take an average of four years before they’re published. Since beginning my business in 2024, I’m working to be more intentional and publish at least two books a year.
Do you have a book package if I want to put my own kid’s book together?
Yes! I offer children’s book packages for authors, educators, businesses, and families. Services can include story planning, illustration, layout, formatting, cover design, and print-ready files. Whether you have a completed manuscript or just an idea, I can help guide your project from concept to completion. Most projects take 4–8 weeks depending on scope. Will you be at any art fairs or book events soon?
Yes—I attend local art markets and book signings throughout the year. I always post upcoming dates on the home page of my website and keep everyone updated through my social media and stories.
Can I buy your books at events?
Art markets and signings are the best way to get an autographed copy and even personalized character art, inspired by my graphic novel! During my pop-up studio, I bring both books and art. It is beautiful to hear your stories, see your own art, and learn about your own creative experiences.
Do you offer signed or personalized books online?
Yes! These can be found through my Etsy shop. If you’d like a signed copy or a personalized note inside, just let me know when ordering. They will be wrapped with my store colors and usually include a couple stickers. They make wonderful gifts.
