Art In Progress

There are plenty of “works in progress” going on here at the Hannah Marie. studio. As you may have noticed, I am currently updating my webpage, so a big “Come back in February” sign is posted to the home page. I am using my extra time (when I’m not actually at my full-time job) working on illustrations and developing a vision of what I’d like to accomplish this year with my artwork. However, even though I haven’t been as present online, I am organizing myself to be consistent enough throughout the rest of the year.

In the writing corner of Hannah Marie., I’m finishing a first draft of a novel that I started back in January. I am also revamping my query letter to agents for my previous novel that is just in the publishing waiting zone. My graphic novel is impatient for February, too but it doesn’t mean I’m not storing away ideas. I’m getting plenty of art practice covered in the meantime through doodles and paintings.

My new website is going to have a different feel to it. I have kept my signature teal color, but also added gold and orange to my color palette. I would like to say that it is because I want to keep continuity of my old site, but it’s really just because I love the colors! The main page, to be revealed in a couple weeks, is set up like an art gallery, creating sections to virtually explore and read behind-the-scenes moments for several of my pieces. Each “room” highlights a hand-drawn background with art that I’ve completed over the years. I also will emphasize commissions and stickers as purchasable items. Prints will be available as well as canvas work, and each section of the gallery will give you ideas of what I can create to personalize your space.

I am hoping to make my custom art more affordable yet still highlight what makes each piece unique. Until next time!

Come visit me soon!

Hannah Marie.
