Observations
When I was creating Joy in the Rain I thought of these women that I see around me every day, smothered by what life is throwing at them. They attempt to juggle it all and be superwoman. I am hoping to share a moment captured. A break. Laughter. And enjoyment.
My mom requested Fantastical Sunset, one of my first commissions from this collection. She asked for it to portray a Texas sunset with a Hawaiian ocean. I absolutely loved dousing everything in bright colors and it was fun to play with the clouds.
Roses has been one of my more popular pieces at art market. One lady said she had grown flowers exactly like this in her garden and I sold the 6×6” original a couple months ago. My monthly customers asked for various sizes, and prints can be purchased now on hannahmarie.shop!
Right at the end of summer 2024, I caught a field of bluebonnets within walking distance of my house. I sketched in the field, videoing it for reference, and painted the blooms using acrylic in my studio.
