Moments in Time

I wanted to share a short blurb with you on this Thanksgiving weekend. I don’t know if you celebrate Thanksgiving. I don’t know what kind of stressors are triggering you right now. And I don’t know what worries you are trying to hold at bay as you attempt to focus on the present. The holiday seasons are times for joy, but can also bring up the worst fears in our lives. I’m dealing with a few of these myself and I’m trying to balance the focus of excitement with the worries of the present. I will explain more in the upcoming months, but I have been contemplating change in several aspects of my life, both personal and professional, and here are a few things that I’ve learned:

  • It’s nice to have a day (or two) away from my regular routine
  • There is always time to read (or play an instrument, or pet an animal!)
  • Breathe; it’s healthy!
  • Walk outside, even if it’s cold
  • Music helps your soul refresh
  • Find moments of laughter

It’s not much, but these little things have helped me so much. There are always going to be broken things: broken relationships, broken computers, broken creations, broken dreams. But what can you get out of it? Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, and I pray you find laughter and joy during the holiday season!

Hannah Marie.
